Perfect binding is one of the most widely used methods of professional binding of books. This is the way soft-back books are created. It is excellent for books, corporate reports, manuals, brochures, and annual reports. The advantages are: versatile, printable spine, longevity, overall look and visual appeal. A printed spine requires a minimum of 60 pages to allow room for the printing. Minimum pages to perfect bind is 24. For 8-1/2 x 11 inch perfect bound books, the maximum size is limited to 600 pages.

Our Perfect binding process uses a Hotmelt gluing technology that guarantees outstanding reliability and perfect binding: even in books of several hundred pages, each individual sheet is bound so securely that manuals, handbooks, reports etc. will still hold firm after constant use. At the same time, the hotmelt process is extremely flexible, enabling automatic production of books with varying thickness: sheets can be bound between a minimum of 15 sheets and a maximum up to 30 mm spine width – including z-folded sheets. Automatic in-line trimming of covers to the exact size required ensures sophisticated print products every time!
