PBI began offering bid set distribution services in 1994. Due to increased demand as well as favorable client response, we decided to improve the service by writing a software package to track the project in detail from the first set distributed to the last deposit check returned. The result of our research and effort is pbiLINK.

pbiLink gives our clients the ability to provide us with detailed instructions on the printing and distribution of bid sets, including all pertinent information regarding addenda.

Via the Internet, each client has the ability to create a database of contractors. On a project by project basis, the appropriate contractors can be attached to the project. Once the distribution process begins, PBI clients have access to reports detailing who has picked up their sets, when, how many sets were issued, what set numbers they have, check numbers and amounts, and much more.

When a contractor picks up his sets, we provide him with a detailed receipt showing what set numbers he received, whether or not his deposit is refundable, all pertinent pre-bid meeting information, when the bids are due, instructions on returning sets, as well as how to contact the project manager. All of this information is available to architects, construction managers, and owners via the web.

This service has allowed PBI clients to reallocate employee resources as well as free up valuable office space.

pbiLINK is Internet Enabled

PBI clients with an Internet connection can access their project information with a USER ID and PASSWORD via www.precisionblue.com/pbilink. After logging in, you will be able to download and print any applicable reports regarding specific project(s). You can e-mail a copy of the report to the owner or any other persons needing the information. The information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world.
