File Transfer Options
Select a method to fit your needs
Because customers have different needs, we have made several file transfer options available.
Short Term Solution
E-mail – we also accept orders in care of orders@precisionblue.com. Please be sure to include all job information in the e-mail, NOT in a separate fax. You must have established credit or fax your credit card authorization to (630) 963-4768.
Best Solutions
Reprodesk
– We highly recommend that you download Apprentice, especially if
you plan to send files to PBI on a regular basis. Apprentice is an
easily learned, yet sophisticated software program that provides the
following: Process print-ready files in seconds, not minutes; view
drawings before sending; create, name, and store multiple pen settings;
transfer compressed files via direct modem or through the Internet;
multitasking and drag and drop capabilities; network modem sharing. To

- If
you use AOL or a similar product to send files, you may have a problem
sending large amounts of data. AOL and certain other ISP’s limit
the size of your file transmission. If unsure, contact your ISP. You
are best off using a business to business ISP.
- To
avoid delays, always double-check to make certain we have all the
information necessary to process your files. Print-ready files are
always best. They are less expensive, decrease our processing time and
guarantee that no one has/can alter your image. PLT and HPGL/2 files
are examples of print-ready files. If you send .DWG or other native
application files, be sure to include scale, page size, pen settings,
and fonts.
- In addition to the information above, we need to know
- Contact Name and phone (critical if we have a question)
- Media to be used
- Sheet size
- Number of sets to be printed for each media
- Due date and time
- Delivery information
